Islamabad, August 15, 2005: DIALLOG Wireless Local Loop operator in Pakistan has launched its 3G CDMA technology telephony service on 14th of August, 2005, the Independence Day of Pakistan.
DIALLOG is the 100% foreign owned multinational company which offers complete telecommunication solutions for the local market with quality network coverage, greater call capacity, higher data throughputs, improved security, voice clarity and attractive pricing packages.
On the occasion of the launch ceremony, the Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecom, Mr. Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari, while inaugurating the DIALLOG launch in Islamabad Telecom Region at an impressive ceremony held at a Marriot Hotel, Islamabad, has given assurance that the government will continue to provide level playing field to all telecom operators including the multinationals.
The Minister admitted that there had been rough years in the past but for the last six years the transparent policy of liberalization and deregulation had attracted the record number of investors. Huge amount of investments is being registered in the Information Technology and Telecom industry and much more is coming than to any other sector. This has also resulted in the provision of employment opportunities to our youth.
The Minister said the rural areas in the country offer tremendous investment opportunities and of course the only survival for the communicators in the foreseeable future is 'WIRELESS'.
The Chairman PTA Maj. General (Retd) Shahzada Alam Malik addressing the function said that telecommunications is passing through a revolution in Pakistan. Here its development is fastest in the region next to China. General Shahzada welcomed DIALLOG and its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Artem Orange, in Pakistan and assured maximum cooperation in their expansion program.
Mr. Orange, while introducing the brand, DIALLOG, its brand values and cornerstones of family, friendliness and future, said "Our major intentions are to carry to people of Pakistan the freedom to communicate whenever and wherever needed. Mr. Orange also praised the team which made the company launch possible in record time and said that he is proud that out of 90 people in the team 85 are Pakistanis.
Before conclusion of the colorful ceremony, the DIALLOG shareholders and CEO gave memorial shields to the Honourable Minister Mr. Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari, Chairman PTA Maj. Gen. (R) Shahzada Alam Malik, Chairman NTC Rear Admiral Shahid Farooq and the members of DIALLOG team, who worked hard to make the company launch successful, who has taken up the challenge to provide a quality product at affordable rates to the people of Pakistan.
